- Guillermo del Toro – El más alto honor para una carrera que ha ejemplificado la excelencia latina, Guillermo del Toro ha sido un incansable defensor del cine en todas sus bellas formas. Nunca atado a un solo género, dejó una impresión indeleble en Hollywood con varios de sus ambiciosos proyectos como «Cronos» (1992), «Mimic» (1997), «The Devil’s Backbone» (2001), «Hellboy II: The Golden Army ” (2008), “Pacific Rim” (2013) y “Crimson’s Peak” (2015). Nominaciones en varias ocasiones y ganador del Oscar, sus contribuciones más reconocidas han sido «El laberinto del fauno» (2006), «La forma del agua» (2017), «Nightmare Alley» (2021) y «Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio» (2022), por la que está nominado a nueve premios, incluyendo mejor película y director. Es el primer director de una película animada en ser nominado por la organización. La Latino Entertainment Journalists Association saluda al autor mexicano y espera con ansias más trabajos impresionantes a lo largo de su vida.
