92nd Annual Academy Awards – Nominaciones
oy, 13 de enero de 2020, la academia ha anunciado las nominaciones a las 24 categorías de sus premios en directo.
El actor y productor John Cho y la actriz/guionista/productora Issa Rae, han hecho públicas las nominaciones de las distintas categorías.
La retransmisión de la Ceremonia de entrega de Premios será el Domingo, 9 de Febrero de 2020, en el Dolby Theatre™ en el Hollywood & Highland Center® en Hollywood, y será televisada por la cadena de televisión ABC a más de 225 países. Este año no habrá presentador durante la gala.
Los Premios Honoríficos (Governors Awards) se entregaron el pasado 27 de Octubre durante una cena en los 11th Annual Governors Awards. Se otorgaron los Honorary Awards (Oscars Honoríficos) al cineasta David Lynch, al actor Wes Studi y a la directora y guionistaLina Wertmüller. El Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award se concedió a la actriz Geena Davis.
Los Premios Científicos y Técnicos se presentarán en una gala independiente el 20 de Junio de 2020 (+info).
Todos los miembros activos de la Academia, dentro de cada una de sus ramas, votan en sus respectivas categorías para elegir a los nominados. Las categorías de Mejor Película de Animación y Mejor Película en Lengua Extranjera, las nominadas son seleccionadas por un comité de visionado formado por miembros de distintas ramas. Todo los miembros con derecho a voto son elegibles para votar las nominadas a Mejor Película.
Todos los miembros en activo de la Academia pueden votar para elegir a los ganadores en las 24 categorías.
