40th Toronto International Film Festival [TIFF] – Programas 2015

El Toronto International Film Festival [TIFF] se celebra anualmente en Toronto, Canadá. Esta fuertemente ligado a la industria Hollywoodiense.

Es un festival de naturaleza no-competitiva, carece de jurado  y por lo tanto en él no se entregan premios, ha excepción de premios por votación popular del público asistente, agrupaciones de críticos, o algunos programas nuevos (que si que cuentan con un jurado) y es considerado —en ocasiones— el más importante a nivel mundial, tras Cannes, ya que en él se suelen presentar de 300 a 400 películas en diferentes categorías (programas), esto lo convierte en uno de los festivales más activos y rentable.

En muchas ocasiones se le considera una antesala a los Oscars.

Desde el 2010 las películas que se presentan durante el festival se anuncian por programas/secciones a lo largo de varias semanas.

En la noche de Apertura se presentará en el programa de Gala Presentations, Demolition de Jean-Marc Vallée en su Premiere Mundial (+info). La película de clausura será presentada en el mismo programa de Gala Presentations, Mr. Right  de Paco Cabezas.
